H+D Studio embodies collaboration and innovation on every level. The studio, based in New York and Detroit, is Directed by Zach Hines and Oliver Dibrova. H+D Studio has a proven capability and record of generating creative solutions. H+D Studio places great emphasis on the diversity of backgrounds and ideas which influence our work; studio specialties include: architecture, design, construction, fashion, media, advertising and art. This is the driving force of H+D Studio and the reason it has developed so many innovations in the fields of architecture, master-planning, urban design, exhibitions, interiors, digital environments, and sustainability. This technology of practice was developed to create a collaborative and think tank-esque environment for fresh ideas, methods, and processes that are at the heart of H+D Studio’s creative solutions.
BIO_ZACH_HINES
Zach Hines is founder and Director at H+D Studio. In his role as Director he is involved in design, fabrication, and project management. Zach Hines is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His experience has been honed in many leading architecture offices including Mad Ltd [Beijing] and William Massie [Detroit]. As a former Co-Director of Collective, Hines recently completed and won The Simon Spurr Shop competition for “Building Fashion at HL23: A Series of Collaborations Celebrating Art and Architecture” and Simon Spurr, the 2009 CFDA/Vogue and 2010 CFDA Swarovski Award for Menswear nominee. In the 2008 11th International Venice Biennale of Architecture, Hines was the project designer for Mad Ltd’s “Superstar: A Mobile Chinatown.”
BIO_OLIVER_DIBROVA
Oliver Dibrova is founder and Director at H+D Studio. In his role as Director he is involved in 3D design, parametric design, and design to production. Oliver Dibrova is a graduate of State Academy of Art and Design Stuttgart. He has collected experience at LAVA [Laboratory for visionary architecture] in Stuttgart and Abu Dhabi and also at Fischer Berkhan architects Berlin. In 2008 and 2009 held a teaching assignment at State Academy of Art and Design with research focused on parametric design under Tobias Wallisser.
